The trailer for Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film ‘Oh My God 2’ has been released. The trailer was scheduled to be released on Wednesday itself, but the event was postponed due to the death of Bollywood art director Nitin Desai.

‘Oh My God 2’ is releasing on July 26 along with Sunny Deol’s ‘Gadar 2’. In addition to Akshay Kumar, the movie features Pankaj Tripathi, Yami Gautam, and Arun Govil in prominent roles. Written and directed by Amit Rai, this film is a satirical comedy-drama. This film is the second series of ‘Oh My God, released in 2012.

The film presents the story of Kanti Sharan Mudgal, a staunch devotee of Lord Shiva. Akshay plays the role of a down-to-earth man, a loving father, and a caring husband. One day, his son Vivek is accused of immoral behaviour (gay) and expelled from school.

Then Kanti realizes that her son has fallen victim to the wrong information and has gone down the wrong path. Kanti decides to leave the city with his family, but Lord Shiva (played by Akshay Kumar) helps guide them to the proper path. Then Kanti decides to call everyone in the court, holding everyone responsible.

This film was stuck on the censor board for a long time. Three days ago, the censors passed the film to modify some scenes. The film has an ‘A, i.e., adult certificate, and 27 sets (dialogues) have been asked to be modified. The Film Screening Committee took it seriously, as the plot of the film is based on homosexuality and also includes the character of Lord Shiva.

Initially, the film was planned to be released on the OTT platform. According to media reports, the producer had prepared to sign a contract with the Jio Cinema app for 90 crores, but at the last minute, it was decided to release it in theatres.

A big clash is happening in Bollywood on that date. The Akshay starrer will clash with Sunny Deol and Amisha Patel’s Gadar 2. Talking about ‘Gadar 2’, it is directed by Anil Sharma and he made ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’ in 2001, which became a blockbuster.
