Nepali Paaniphoto Movie 2022: The trailer of the film ‘Paaniphoto’ directed by Khagendra Lamichhane, which is preparing to be screened on July 13th, has been released. The trailer was released through a press conference held in Kathmandu on Monday. Trailer
The film presents the story of a couple who set out on a journey to find their missing son during a decade-long armed conflict. Anup Baral, Menuka Pradhan, Malika Mahat and Khagendra himself are featured in the nearly three-minute long trailer.

Actor Khagendra Lamichhane has made his directorial debut with this movie. Swayam Khagendra is also the writer of the movie. Khagendra adapted his own play ‘Panifoto’ into a movie. The story of parents who are waiting for their son who disappeared almost a decade and a half ago during the Maoist People’s War is presented.

Nepali Movie Paaniphoto Trailer Review:

The movie features Khagendra Lamichhane, Anup Baral, Menuka Pradhan, Prakash Ghimire, Maotse Gurung, Buddhi Tamang, Malika Mahat, Ashant Sharma and others. Produced by Tuki Arts and Manjushree Films, the movie is jointly produced by Rosina Sitaula and Ravindra Bajracharya.

Deepak Bajracharya has shot the movie in Kathmandu, Bardia, Rolpa and Syangja. The movie has editing by Nimesh Shrestha and Arjun Karki and background music by Pushpa Sangam.
The first look poster of Paniphoto has been released. A poster released on Friday features actors Anup Baral, Khagendra Lamichhane, Menuka Pradhan and Malika Mahat in character looks. In another poster, two characters can be seen walking on the road.

A play has also been staged on the film, which is Khagendra’s story. Produced by Manjushree Productions, the film is directed by Deepak Bajracharya and edited by Nimesh Shrestha.
Director Lamichhane said that it is still necessary to tell the story of the armed conflict, saying that it will question the justification of the armed conflict.
Ramesh Adhikari, Prakash Ghimire, Maotse Gurung, Buddhi Tamang, Kamalmani Nepal are acting in the movie which will be released on 13th July. According to the trailer, Anup and Menuka play the role of a couple in the film who are looking for their missing son.

The film ‘Dokh’ directed by Anup Baral is still being screened in the theatres. “Panifoto” released in this month also questions the justification of armed conflict. Through this film, Khagendra moved into direction. As of Monday, he has also turned 44 years old.
